Various A/V installations throughout UCI's campus including custom enclosures for outdoor cafes and outside digital signage, flat-panel mounts for recreation center, library, lobby areas, and the security command center.
Brooke Robbins from Axcess Video took time from his busy schedule to show us around the UCI campus where various projects and installations were taking place. The university installed digital signage throughout the campus and required various mounts for the project depending on the location and purpose. Set on 1,478 acres of land, the expansive campus had digital signage and other displays installed at outside cafes, leisure areas, the recreation center, cooking facility, police station, bus stops, and other areas throughout the sizeable campus. Each area presented a different mounting challenge, from outside installations requiring sealed enclosures for protection from weather and other potential damages to multi-monitor setups for entertainment for workout enthusiasts at the recreation center. Surveillance monitoring for security purposes as well as videoconferencing for boardrooms was also on the list of requirements. A large scale and ongoing project, we were thrilled to be a part chosen by Axcess Video and contribute to the state-of-the-art campus facilities.
What was it like to work with Premier Mounts on this project?
“It was nice to work with a local company with thoroughly tested products with proven credibility,” said Brooke Robbins of Axcess Video, system integrator of the project. "Premier Mounts provided exceptional service with zero problems."
How well did Premier Mounts help to meet the deadline of the project?
Due to Premier Mounts being within the local vicinity there were no problems with meeting the project deadlines. Sometimes project deadlines would be within a week and Premier Mounts would supply all products needed on time.
What was the biggest challenge, and how did Premier Mounts help with the success?
“One of the biggest challenges were the outside installations that were to be completed at bus stops and cafes at the campuses,” said Brooke Robbins. Premier Mounts flat-panel enclosures were a perfect match and were “off the shelf, ready to install.”
