Samuel Merritt University looked to update its Northern California classrooms to allow for user-friendly HD VTC capabilities, as well as further involvement with their IT department to monitor and control the systems remotely if needed.
In surveying the classroom on their San Mateo campus, CompView Audio Visual discovered that two 70" monitors would have to be placed against a giant window wall. Shading out the glare from the sun would be easy enough, but mounting the monitors was a concern. The pressure was alleviated by the wide range of products from Premier Mounts, who provided the solution in their ECM-3763S ceiling mount which secured the displays in the framework above the ceiling.
What was it like to work with Premier Mounts on this project?
"We like Premier Mounts because they provide good mounts that we can depend on," stated Alan Bender of CompView. "The faculty and staff love the new rooms and their AV systems. Currently we have a waiting list to use them," added Marcus Walton, IT Manager at Samuel Merritt.
How well did Premier Mounts help to meet the deadline of the project?
Premier's timely delivery is neither unnoticed or unappreciated, especially when time constraints factor into the equation. "Premier Mounts makes reliable mounts that get delivered right on time. It's great to work with them," boasted Bender.
What was the biggest challenge, and how did Premier Mounts help with the success?
"Because of the way the room is configured, we had to mount displays on a window wall. Premier Mounts has a lot of flexibility in their product line when we run into an unusual situation," Bender says of the ECM-3763S pendant-style ceiling mount solution.
